I took a day off today to settle some stuff at the banks. And it also has to be today that I'm down with a bad cough (why it doesn't happen on any other days but my off day?)
Anyway, while at home, I was at the bathroom, looking at the mirror. I mean, that's the usual that I do when I'm washing my hands.
I see my long.. soft.. shiny hair.. until I noticed a strand of grey hair! I was hoping it's from the shine of the light but no.. it's a whole strand of grey hair @_@ Worse.. after rechecking again, I found another strand T_T (oh come on.. just let me whine about it for now tho' to some, grey hair is no big deal.. but I'm talking about my first strand of grey hair wor)
Sigh... I was hoping I that don't get grey hair so soon. Oh well.. guess age is really catching up. No more telling people of my baby soft shiny hair :p
I just thought that I should blog about it.. cuz' it's my first grey hair :p I must get it recorded lol!
Other than reminding me that I'm getting old, it's also reminding me to enjoy life while I can.
And so.. I'm looking forward for a year end holiday ;) Everything booked/paid.. just waiting for the day to come. Where to? Will be releaved later. I just hope that I'll have the semangat to blog about it later :p

On-Hong Encore Concert - Meet & Greet Session
On-Hong Encore Concert - Meet & Greet Session
10 Oct 2009 @ 2.30pm
RedBox, The Gardens
I would say that was my first up-close encounter with both William So and Andy Hui. The last time I saw them was in 2005, during their concert in Genting Highlands. They swept me off then :p
The moment I saw the billboard by the highway that they'll be coming again for another concert, I've decided straight away that I'll go for the concert again. I sent messages to some of my friends if they'll be keen to go with me. In the end, I got Soo Mei and Wai Yee who would like to join too. And so, off I bought the tickets :D
I've added the fan page of William So in my facebook and got to know that they'll be in town for some promo activities. I contacted Candy from Hong Kong to get more details. It's so nice of her to provide me with all the details and getting me the pass for the promo event.
On 10 October itself, there're altogether 3 meet and greet / meet the fans sessions. One at 2pm, one at 8pm and one at 10.30pm @_@ I can imagine how they have to rush for the whole day.
The 2pm event was for Astro subscribers. Since I'm one of them and we're allowed to bring a friend, I went there with Wai Yee. Some people asked me since when I'm so keen on William and Andy and why am I going for the meet and greet session? Well, I have to admit that I'm not the biggest fan but overall, I do appreciate them as great performers and great singers. I also enjoy listening to their songs (though I can't sing them :p) So, I guess it's OK that I'm going there to show some support :p
That was also my first time at RedBox at The Gardens. I first went to the Astro desk to register myself. They put an Astrolife sticker on my shirt and gave me a T-shirt, which they said will be signed by William and Andy. We got the poster too.
I was surprised that the event was so nicely organised. They were using the big karaoke room for the gathering. William and Andy will be meeting with a group of about 50 fans in that room. There's a stage, LCD screen, sofas..etc.. and we were served with drinks and snacks, and not forgetting High Tea as well after the event. We were totally not expecting all these at all :)
The emcee started off with some games with the fans. Including passing the ping pong balls, some singing (William and Andy's songs) etc.. It was then that I realised the guy called to the stage for the game was someone that we know.. hahaha.. Both Wai Yee and I waved at him... and with the wave, the emcee thought Wai Yee wanted to participate with the game and she was called to join the game too :p It was lucky of her that she won a ticket to the concert (she said tho' it wasn't really her effort since our friend did all the singing lol!)
Short interview..
After that, they announced the arrival of William and Andy. The fans were very excited of course. Both looked great and jolly. The buddies have known each other for 24 years already. They mentioned another buddy of them (Edmond Leung) is still busy cooking in Hong Kong (they were referring to the show 'Beautiful Cooking' which Edmond co-hosts).
Playing games with fans
They were asked to play some games with the fans too, including one similar to Super Trio, where you have to describe the words shown on the screen for another person to guess. Another game is between 2 groups of with a black cloth separating them. And once they pull down the cloth, one must identify the person from the other group.
I must say that both William and Andy are both very humourous guys :p based on things/jokes they said and how they played the games.
Andy looked like he's so into the game
so full of expression..
So full of 'action'.. :p
A pic with fans who took part in the games
Once done, fans can get autography from Andy and William on the T-shirt given. I got mine signed too :) And don't think I'll wear that shirt :p (cuz' of the signature on it.. and also for the sad fact that it won't fit me :p).
William: Yay! Time to sign!!
Andy: Heh! Wait till your hand gone numb with all the signing
sign sign sign...
err.. are we done signing? :p
My shirt..
At first I was thinking of going for the promo event at Sg Wang at 8pm but on second thought, I was feeling tired already :p I headed home after that while Wai Yee went to Sg Wang. I heard it was good.
They looked like married couple huh? :p
And now, I'm looking forward to 14 November 2009 for their concert. For those of you who're keen to go for the concert, you can check out Genting's website for ticketing info here

Arthur's Day - 25 Sept 09
(*Jiun... instead of 'On Hong'.. I'm kicking it off with Arthur's Day :p)
Arthur's Day
25 Sept 09 @ 8pm
Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach

(To be honest, I'm not like the biggest fan of the stout (but my dad is) but I do steal some sips whenever my dad is having the stout. Most people describe it as black.. and bitter...(name me one liquor which is not bitter??) which it is.. but I love the malty smell of it .. and I like to have it chilled)

The Ticket...
I first know about this event from Nel and he bought me the tickets last month :) (cuz' of Black Eyed Peas :p) But too bad, he got too tied up with work that he couldn't make it :( But.. I got Louise and Brandon going with me instead :D

At the entrance to Sunway Lagoon
The event is supposed to start 8pm, so we were trying to be there on time. Highlight of the event was, of course the Black Eyed Peas! There're other artistes performing as well, including Danny One, MC Hotdog, Reshmonu, ManHand, Joe Flizzow... but knowing that most likely BEP will be the last act, we've decided to grab a bite at Oldtown. We were starving!

..with Louise
While getting in to the venue, everybody got a body temperature check to make sure you're fever free. They also stressed that the event is for those 18 and above and also for non Muslims (I don't know how they check that.. checking IC?).

..with Brandon and Louise .. we looked very siow.. :p
I think it was almost 9pm by the time we were at the party venue. We can't help but to take some photos infront of the BEP backdrop :p

Thursday.... :p
They 'dried' the surf pool (one of my previous experience for an event at the surf pool, I have to soak my feet throughout the event :p). We walked around checking out the lounge and looking for a space to stand. Overall, it has to be far from stage since the front part was quite filled up already.

so farrrr... from the stage

The Lounge..
I met up with Swee Ping who was there with her friends. I remember telling some people that I know that I'll see them there on Facebook. But once I'm there, I didn't see any of them but I bumped into other people that I know unexpectedly tho' :p
We were enjoying ourselves grooving to the music..etc.. but in between of the performances, we got kinda bored in a way. We were soaked in sweat, and started to feel tired. Sei Mou... BEP not even out yet and we were like half dead.

The screen..
The crowd went crazy once BEP was out! with an appropriate 'Let's Get It Started!' We could hardly see the stage once BEP was out, so we went to another spot with a clearer view of the screen, at least (but still blocked by so many things.. ) and occasionally, caught a glimpse of the Peas on stage.

Don't know why everybody was doing this (taking pictures like this).. so.. we also do la
Unexpectedly, they performed quite a number of their songs including 'Shut Up', 'Pump It', 'Don't Phunk with My Heart', 'Big Girls Don't Cry', 'Where is the Love', 'Boom Boom Pow' and 'I Gotta Feeling'. I also like the MJ/old school mix which includes some old school rap and rock songs. It was quite a view seeing everybody dancing/jumping to their songs (while I was too tired to move already :p but wave my hands around still).
I didn't realise that it's actually their 4th visit to Malaysia (I only remember the concert in Genting.. which I missed!)... but they promised that this won't be the last visit (yay!).

The event ended with a BLAST!... literally.. with some fireworks which I didn't see it coming. It was a beautiful sight.. while they played the 'Celebration' song.

Everybody was leaving the venue after that. Things got 'jammed' up a bit since one of the escalators was not working.. and it was so stuffy.. and not forgetting rubbing your hands with other people's sweaty and sticky hands (or any flesh from their body.. especially some sexy chicks :p)...feels yucky!

What a relief when we're out of the place... phew!!
Thanks Dear.. for the tix.. thanks to Louise and Brandon for the great company... and...
TO ARTHUR!

Died-ed...
Just the other day, one of my friends asked me why there's no updates in my blog since MJ's death..
I told him that my blog has probably died with MJ... (speaking of which.. I still cry with the Gone Too Soon song... :(
sigh... which I hope not...
Another friend also asked why no updates for so long. In a way, I'm just glad that there ARE actually people who read my blog tho' I write crappy stuff :p
Anyway.. I'm not saying that I'll stop blogging... just that.. I'm not in the mood for it now and tied up with something else. I have quite a number of trips and stuff that I haven't post here to share with all.
So.. we'll see how and will see when I can revive this blog...
I'll be back.... dunno when.... :p

Gone Too Soon.....
Michael sang this for Ryan White.. now the whole world is singing this to you Michael...
We Love You...
Gone Too Soon
Like A Comet
Blazing 'Cross The Evening Sky
Gone Too Soon
Like A Rainbow
Fading In The Twinkling Of An Eye
Gone Too Soon
Shiny And Sparkly
And Splendidly Bright
Here One Day
Gone One Night
Like The Loss Of Sunlight
On A Cloudy Afternoon
Gone Too Soon
Like A Castle
Built Upon A Sandy Beach
Gone Too Soon
Like A Perfect Flower
That Is Just Beyond Your Reach
Gone Too Soon
Born To Amuse, To Inspire, To Delight
Here One Day
Gone One Night
Like A Sunset
Dying With The Rising Of The Moon
Gone Too Soon
Gone Too Soon
We Love You...
Gone Too Soon
Like A Comet
Blazing 'Cross The Evening Sky
Gone Too Soon
Like A Rainbow
Fading In The Twinkling Of An Eye
Gone Too Soon
Shiny And Sparkly
And Splendidly Bright
Here One Day

Here One Day
